Last year, about this time I began thinking of New Year’s Resolutions.  I always love the thought of a whole new year, untouched, laying out before me.  The possibilities seem endless!

I wrote my 2012 resolutions down in a journal.  Number 3 on the list was to start a blog!  I can’t believe that I’ve done this for almost a year.  It’s been so much fun for me, and I hope you have enjoyed it as well.

This past summer I read a book by Jeff Goins called Wrecked.  I really enjoyed the book and began to follow his blog goinswriter.com.  This fall Jeff offered an online writing class called Tribe Writers.  It is a course to help writers find their voice and develop a platform to help market their writing and gain more followers.

I loved the concept, but was hesitant to register for the class.  After all, I was not a writer.  I had just started a blog a few months ago.  But, at the last minute I signed up anyway, worried that I might be in over my head.

The time for the first lesson in Tribe Writers came, and I nervously clicked on the link.  But, by the time I had completed the first lesson I knew that I had made a great choice!  The class was exactly what I hoped it would be.  It was exactly what I needed it to be!

Now I say with confidence “I am a writer!”

I learned so much from the Tribe Writers course.  It has truly been one of the best courses I have ever taken.  Part of that is the Tribe Writers community.  Everyone taking the course has a desire to share their knowledge and help each other out.  I have learned so much through my interactions with this group of people (people of all ages from all over the world!) and have become a better writer as a result.

Jeff Goins is offering the class again.  In fact, today is the last day to sign up for it.  If you want to become a better writer and want to learn how to develop a platform for your writing, I highly recommend signing up for this course.  You will not regret it!  It will be a great way to start the new year and make 2013 a great year for you as a writer.
